An endangered species in Botany caught the attention of everyone in July.

Eric Boa, writing in the Conversation, raised the plight of plant taxonomists and how they are disappearing in some parts of the work. He also raised the question of whether any taxonomists in Biology are as valued as they should be.

Talking over undervalued individuals, Nigel Chaffey’s post on an unusual pollinator was the most popular entry on the blog this month.
