The world is coming to North America this month for a celebration. Tempting as it is to offer a plant hunt with nearly identical species of grass for the tournament, I thought to do something else. Each plant hunt will cover species that have come to North America to add to its culture. This sounded like a fun idea.

This week it's Africa. Africa has given a lot to North America, but it would also be fair to say Africa has had a lot taken from it. There's a huge impact of African culture on North America, but it would be somewhat contrarian to ignore how much of that culture got there. So this week is a bit grim. But it's also hopeful, as it shows that African culture is resilient and survives even horrific conditions aimed at breaking a person's humanity.

If you do want to know about the grass, we have something on that.

How to Play

Plant Hunt is a game of memory. The goal is to match all the cards in the shortest number of time and attempts. You uncover cards in pairs, by clicking or tapping the back of them. If the cards match, you'll see them in large form, and they'll stay face up. Once you get them all, you'll get a time and move count. If you like you can share this with others, or be sneaky and try again. Though you might find your memory playing tricks, the more attempts you make.

If you want more information about the plants, you'll find it below the playing area.
