Know someone who'd like this?

The BBC reports on a plan to collect and store the wild plant relatives of essential food crops, including wheat, rice, and potatoes by the Global Crop Diversity Trust.  There is a link over to the right of the page to the Global Crop Diversity Trust which is an improvement on past coverage. The Trust also has a page with recent articles around the world covering their work, if you prefer to get the same story from another source.

It’ll be interesting to see if this can by hybridised with some other good ideas on wild crop mapping.
