This week the Plant Hunt is in Singapore. The plants chosen are plants that have either been spotted in Singapore recently, or else may well be visible soon if you visit the city. If you click on the photo credits below, you should see that most of these photos were taken in the past couple of weeks.

The reason I've been browsing a lot of Singapore plants recently is that it's one of the test areas for a tool I'm working on. Being just a degree north of the equator, Singapore is a challenging site for a tool built on assumptions made in a more temperate climate. It's also a challenging time of year, with Singapore exiting the first of its two monsoon seasons.

It's a place I'd like to visit, as it has an impressive Botanic Garden, though given I travel poorly and don't do well in heat and humidity, I imagine the places I really want to visit in Singapore are all air-conditioned.

How to Play

Plant Hunt is a game of memory. The goal is to match all the cards in the shortest number of time and attempts. You uncover cards in pairs, by clicking or tapping the back of them. If the cards match, you'll see them in large form, and they'll stay face up. Once you get them all, you'll get a time and move count. If you like you can share this with others, or be sneaky and try again. Though you might find your memory playing tricks, the more attempts you make.

If you want more information about the plants, you'll find it below the playing area.
