We follow a lot of accounts on Bluesky. This is so we can get a sample of what papers and news people are interested in. But how do you find people interested in similar things to you?

This tool will help you discover niche accounts popular among the people you follow. It scans in batches so you can stop, review, and continue.

The way we use it is: we scan a small batch of the people we follow, and look through the suggested accounts. If they're posting about plants, we follow them. If they're not, we click the ✕ on the right to hide that suggestion.

Then we press "Remove accounts I now follow" to clear out anyone we've just followed, so the next batch of results stays fresh.
Then we scan a few more accounts.

The default sort is "Proportion (niche accounts)". These are accounts whose followers are disproportionately people you already follow — a good signal that they're in your corner of Bluesky, even if they're not widely known.

Note: This tool saves a small database in your browser while it works. When you're finished, press "Clear saved data" at the top or bottom of the results and it will tidy up without you needing to clear your browser cache.

This tool was extremely inspired by @Theo.io's similar tool.
